Starting with flight to Biratnagar and road journey to Hille, we make a detour to the delightful village of Chainpur before descending to the Arun Valley, which we follow to Num. Then we to north-west over high passes and through desolated but beautiful country to reach Makalu Base Camp (5.300m).
